Entire rental unit. Lively Wynwood Room in Shared Home with Cozy Communal Space

The host came to our rescue late at night when our previous Airbnb was not ready for us, despite having checked in. We were so relieved to find this place available for a last-minute stay. Everything was in perfect order upon our arrival.

The location is fantastic, situated in a secure neighborhood which was perfect for our family reunion. The space worked well for multiple families, although the pool heater was out of service, so we found the water a bit chilly. Thankfully, we enjoyed the hot tub, which was a great alternative! The guest studios near the pool are compact, but they offer a nice level of privacy. Be aware that the property shows some signs of age. Unfortunately, the refrigerator and freezer were not functioning properly; the freezer didn’t keep things frozen well enough, resulting in melted ice. The stairs can be tricky, and there is only one bedroom on the main level, making it less suitable for guests with mobility challenges since there’s no bath or shower in the main space. Overall, it was a reasonable price for the area, especially when sharing costs among several families.

We arrived at the property after our flight landed around 1 PM, hoping to grab a quick bite and check-in by 4 PM. However, when we arrived at 4 PM, we were informed that our check-in would be delayed as the cleaning staff were still working. After waiting until 5:49 PM without any update, we followed up to inquire about the status, but received no response. At 7:02 PM, we asked again and were told that we would be notified soon. Unfortunately, we didn't gain access until roughly 7:45 PM. Upon entering, we discovered a leak in the downstairs bathroom, and there were workers present laying new tiles, which caused noise until about 9:30 PM. They had left a used toilet and sink, along with a plunger, in the kitchen during our stay, which was quite inconvenient. There was no apology or effort from the host to rectify the situation. I requested some compensation for the late check-in and associated issues, but was told they would need to consult with the owners and I never received any further communication. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not consider renting from this property again.
