Outstanding host who made our stay enjoyable.
We had an excellent time at the host's property. It was ideal for our large group, conveniently situated, and offered ample room for everyone.
We arrived in town on our flight, which landed around 1:00 pm. We were hoping to grab a quick bite to eat and check-in at the scheduled time of 4:00 pm. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the cleaning staff were still working and our check-in would be delayed. After waiting until 5:49 pm, we inquired about the situation but received no response. At 7:02 pm, we followed up again and were told they would get back to us. We ultimately gained access to the property around 7:45 pm. Upon entering, we discovered there had been a water leak in the downstairs bathroom, and workers were still busy tiling the floor. They continued cutting tiles until about 9:30 pm. Additionally, we found a used toilet and sink, along with a plunger, left in the kitchen for the entire duration of our stay. Unfortunately, there was no apology or offer to rectify the situation. I asked about a possible compensation for the late check-in and the issues we faced, but was told the owner needed to be consulted, and I never received any follow-up. This experience was quite disappointing, and I doubt I would choose this property again.
The location was quite a distance from the convention center as indicated on the map (over 30 minutes on foot and around 5 minutes by car). The room was somewhat cramped, featuring just a double bed, a small sofa, and a mini-table. Additionally, the shower wasn't functioning properly and there was a notable lack of kitchen amenities. Considering the location and facilities, the pricing felt exorbitant. I’m relieved that the Airbnb policy allowed for a full refund, but paying over $300 for this space and its offerings seemed unreasonable. I hope the owner revisits the pricing and enhances the amenities for future guests.
The location was fantastic, situated in a safe neighborhood, making it perfect for a family gathering. The pool was enjoyable, although the heater was not functioning, so we ended up using the hot tub, which was a wonderful alternative! The guest studios located by the pool are compact but provide a nice sense of privacy if you need it. Being an older home, there are signs of wear and tear, so keep that in mind. Unfortunately, the refrigerator and freezer didn't operate properly; the freezer was barely cold enough, which meant our ice completely melted. The stairs can be a bit tricky, and there is only one bedroom on the main floor, so it might not be suitable for anyone with mobility challenges. Also, there's no bath or shower available in the main house downstairs. However, considering the price and the possibility of sharing it among several families, it was quite reasonable.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! This apartment was a fantastic last-minute find. It includes convenient parking, and the host was incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Everything we needed was just a short stroll away—Starbucks, shops, and even some great live music spots were all within a couple of minutes. While some furniture, like the couch, shows a bit of wear, the stunning view from the window quickly makes you forget about those small imperfections.
