Chez MiMo is a converted 1 car garage that is a newly renovated , absolutely beautiful, luxurious and cozy studio located in the Upper East Side of MiMo. Chez MiMo is the perfect home away from home. Chez MiMo is located off Biscayne Boulevard which houses a collection of historic residential neighborhoods and offbeat boutiques, eclectic restaurants and funky retro motels. Chez MiMo is 10 minutes from the Miami Airport, South Beach, Miami Beach, Wynnwood, Midtown & Design District. My space is a brand new completely redesigned studio with a functionality and design in mind. The studio is beautiful, warm, cozy and luxurious. The space is completely private, spacious and perfect for two people with maybe a small child. It also has all the amenities you could possibly need. Guest access the studio is on the west side of the house through its own private entrance. I have a busy schedule but always make myself available to my guests. If I am not on the property, I am always easy to reach via phone or text. I try my very best to be responsive to my guests, answer any questions or address any issues they may have. Chez Mimo is centrally located in the heart of the Miami MiMo Boulevard which runs along Biscayne Boulevard from 50th Terrace up to 77th street. The beaches, shopping and nightlife are just minutes away. The term MiMo stands for Miami Modern Architecture since this district has become famous because of its post World War II modern architecture. Although MiMo Boulevard has been neglected for decades, the area has experienced a renaissance since 2007 when popular restaurants and stores began coming to the area. The opening of Michy's by world renowned chef Michelle Bernstein was a major breakthrough for the neighborhood. Now MiMo is lined with interesting restaurants, lounges and bars, many of which have survived for several years indicating that the come back of MiMo Boulevard is real. MiMo Boulevard is probably most well known for its motels, which until recently were all run down but have experienced a rebirth. Recent articles written about MiMo Boulevard indicate that the area is quickly becoming the next hot spot in Miami. Chez Mimo comes with a designated private parking space for those guests who drive. Getting around is super easy as we are centrally located in the heart of Miami off Biscayne Boulevard. There are plenty of great walking and shopping options within a short walking distance. We are near a major bus transit line that accesses all of Miami. There is also a citibike hub just a couple blocks away. Uber and Lift are both inexpensive options to get anyway in Miami as we are just minutes from most of what you want to see in Miami including: - East (Miami Beach and South Beach). Although tourists generally consider Miami Beach to be part of Miami, it is in actuality its own municipality. Located on a barrier island east of Miami and Biscayne Bay, it is home to a large number of beach resorts and is one of the most popular spring break party destinations in the world. - South (Downtown). As the cultural, financial, and commercial center of South Florida, Downtown is home to many major museums, parks, education centers, banks, company headquarters, courthouses, government offices, theaters, shops and many of the oldest buildings in the city. - North (Midtown, Overtown, Design District, Little Haiti, Upper Eastside). This vibrant section of the city includes the hip, artsy Design District, fast-growing Midtown, the trendy Wynnwood, and the immigrant community of Little Haiti. - West (Little Havana, West Miami, Coral Way, Coconut Grove, Kendall). These neighborhoods have some of Miami's biggest attractions, from the Cuban culture of Little Havana to the lush vegetation and history of Coconut Grove. For those who are driving while staying at Chez MiMo, we are just 5 minutes from I-95, 1-95 and 395; and 20 minutes from the Florida Turnpike. I have lived in Miami for more than 30 years and nearly 20 years in the neighborhood. I know the city extremely well and can help guide your trip to make sure you experience the very best Miami has to offer.
