Welcome to our home..

The space
Hello, Welcome to Miami!

First of all I have to tell , I love this house. This is our little gem in Miami. I have lived down here most of my life and have to say this place is fantastic not just because of how great the place feels, but also because of its central location within the city. We call it a family home because it is not a property solely for airbnb, it's our home that we like to share with people traveling, while we are out of town doing our own traveling.

This place is as traditional as it gets for Miami. The house it self is an original art deco built house with the traditional old Spanish flavor of these older Miami homes. As you walk up to the house, You'll be welcomed by its lush green landscape and a fantastic screened in porch where you'll probably find your self sitting around drinking wine and wondering why you don't live down here.

As you enter the home you'll be enchanted by the airy and old Spanish feel of the house. First by the beautiful 1920s traditional Spanish tiles through out the house and then by the natural light the house receives from all the windows. The house has a very airy feel and open layout with a lovely living room / dining room that make it feel very spacious. The kitchen is an open concept new build facing the living room, and you'll want to open the back door to the yard as you cook and drink wine in the cool summer evenings. Which brings me to the court yard...

Well, this is Miami so Yes, there is a pool.. You'll step down to a fantastic lush plant filled court yard. Where you'll sit and lay around relaxing and enjoying the sun as you drink your Mojito's and send texts and emails back home to your family and friends saying things like.. I Wish you were here! Of course then there is the pool.. Seriously, where else can you jump in a pool in Dec?? Jump in. Enjoy it!
(The pool is not heated, but always refreshing in the warmth of the Florida sun)

Location location location.. The house is located in what the new hip kids are calling the MIMO District, In the upper east side of Miami. Just one block from Biscayne blvd which holds a great series of fantastic restaurants, galleries, shops, bars, clubs and just about everything you may need a short walk or bike ride away. We are also just a bridge away from historic Miami Beach and the popular South Beach. You can jump on a bus or call an Uber or Lyft and get right across the bridge and not have to deal with the crazy parking situation on the beach. Once there, everything is just a walk away. You'll have the sunny beach during the day and sexy night life action of south beach when you want it and then be able to get away from it all to your quiet place when you're done.

There are several bus lines that will take you to the beach but also all over Miami. Including the MOCA , MAM, The Design district, Downtown and even to the historic Little Havana where yes, you'll find some serious good Cuban joints to get your grub on.

Enjoy you're stay!

Other things to note
Friendly lovable kitty on and around the property. Neighbors feed him but we have food in the cupboard if you want to feed him too :) His name is Sanders. He was found and rescued during hurricane sandy and lives in the neighborhood but we give him lots of love and consider him our outdoor kitty. Hello, Welcome to Miami!
