Your studio in this peaceful bungalow is nestled in a lush tropical patio. It is separated from the rest of our home with private entrance in our little paradise! Want to start that book, rest or walk to the bay at dusk? Great for walking/biking. Children's and dog park nearby. Our village three blocks away has eateries, theatres, shops, gyms, boutiques, food markets, and sailing. Fridge/microwave/coffee/toaster. Private guest bath. Pets OK. Free parking. Two day minimum. The Grove is known as one of the safest, peaceful and beautiful places to walk about in South Florida This is a quiet walking and biking neighborhood. Buses and Metrorail nearby (Metro is 15-min. walk). Lift and Uber and scooters at doorstep. Our little street is covered with large, drooping oak and olive trees . Families and cyclists are about until late evenings. There is free parking in our guest space and at the park across the street as well. "The Grove" is 1.5 hours from the Everglades and about 3.5 hours from Disneyworld. In addition to the studio, an outside patio with a coffee nook is available for meals, relaxing, and reading. We assume our guests want privacy; however, we are happy to make restaurant and other recommendations when you catch us at home. Let us know how we can make your stay more enjoyable. Leafy Coconut Grove was home to hippies in the 1970s. It has now morphed into a family/young professional village while retaining its nature-loving feel. Neighbors are passionate about saving trees. The Grove's downtown village near the bay is a three block walk. People are friendly and the area is regarded as safe. Milam's, a grocery store, is a block away. CVS and Walgreen's, pharmacies with suntan lotion, beach clothes, and snacks are also blocks away. Cocowalk is a small scale shopping center In the village with restaurants, and a Starbucks. Nearby you can rent bikes, work out at a gym, hear music, see films, rent a sailboat, and dine, as well as jog at a bayfront park nearby. Walking from our neighborhood down to the Bay is popular. Uber is a mainstay here. Buses and the Metrorail are a 15-minute walk away, or you can take a trolley to the Coconut Grove Metrorail station, which is in the air, at SW 27 Ave and US 1. Most rental cars can be returned at the airport, but you need to allow time to take the shuttle to your gate after turning the car in. The Metrorail goes direct from Grove station to the airport. We encourage guests to enjoy our tropical patio for meals and relaxation. It is a designated mini-wildlife refuge with squirrels, cardinals, fish pond, mockingbirds, and, when they feel like it, peacocks. A small fridge and coffee maker are in your room. Blender and hot plate available. Desk and bistro table. Private guest bath. Children's park is across the street. We welcome well-behaved pets. A dog park is 1/2 block away. This is a walking neighborhood with friendly Grove residents.
