Make yourselves at home! Nestled in the very lush neighborhood of Coconut Grove, we are less than a 5 minute drive from the downtown area + 15-20 from the closest beaches. This peaceful home offers respite from the Miami heat + is perfect for a family to play or relax. Our house is a charming, mid-century one-story home with a driveway and gate. It is fenced all the way around. Upon entering there is a small entry and just beyond is a dining table for 6 + bookshelves full of books (feel free to read while you’re here!). Our small but functional Kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, drip coffee maker, toaster oven + all the cooking utensils you could need, plus a small island with seating for two + plenty of storage. Next is the open Living + Playroom. Surrounded on 3 sides with large glass sliding doors, vaulted open ceiling and trees all around, which all contribute to feeling like you’re hanging in a treehouse. It has 2 ceiling fans, large sofa, TV, kids’ books, board games + even some toys, so everyone in the family can relax in here. This space opens out to the backyard, which has a ping pong table (doubles as dining upon sliding the net out) and basketball hoop. The back is covered in soft turf + features a treehouse, a jungle gym + a couple of swings. Hours of entertainment! In the interest of saving plastic, there are no individual toiletries offered but there are larger bottles of non-toxic products if you need them! All bed + bath linens are provided as well as beach essentials (towels, chairs, toys + a Cool Cabana). The whole house is open to you except the garage. I will always be available via text to help with anything you need. There is a keypad at the front door, for which you will receive your own code closer to check-in. Coconut Grove is beautiful + lush. Just walking around the neighborhood is exciting, with wild peacocks roaming the streets! Downtown Coconut Grove (also known as CocoWalk) has TONS of great restaurants + shops. Crandon Beach on Key Biscayne (recommended) and Matheson Hammock (VERY small beach) are the closest beaches at about 15 - 20 mins away. South Beach is about a half hour drive. More specific info on beaches, playgrounds, activities etc will be provided in the Welcome Book. There is space for two cars at the house and the area is pretty easy to get around. There’s a gas station at the corner of Le Jeune + US1, just a few blocks north of the house. Uber/ Lyft is, of course, always an option. Parking downtown isn’t always the easiest, but there is street parking and there are a bunch of lots + garages. Extras available for use: Air mattress Clip on high chair Wagon Ironing board + iron
