Our historic property is a hidden gem located in a cul-de-sac in a lush, tropical setting. When you arrive you’ll walk through the tropical gardens and be welcomed by butterflies before reaching the cottage in the back of the main house. Built in 1938, this 1B/1B stand-alone structure it’s far from old with modern decor and all the conveniences of today. The cottage has been renovated into an open-space concept offering you all of the modern-life home comforts including an updated kitchen and bath with all the essentials, Wi-Fi, live television with streaming channels, memory foam mattress and bedding and lots more! This home is located in a quiet neighborhood. If you enjoy a peaceful setting, this is the house for you. Parties are NOT suitable and are STRICTLY PROHIBITED on this property. No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed inside of the cottage. There is also a main house with 3B/1B available to book if you want to bring more family and friends. Our cottage can accommodate up to two guests. The main house can accommodate up to five guests. Together the two spaces can accommodate up to seven guests. It is the perfect room for leisure and comfort. KITCHEN & BREAKFAST BAR AREA Our kitchen has been redesigned with modern comforts. The kitchen has been updated with new appliances. All kitchen essentials, including pots and pans, microwave, as well as all small appliances including toaster, blender, rice cooker and coffee maker can be found in the cabinets. The dining area has been designed to accommodate two guests. For your convenience, there is a bluetooth speaker. You can listen to your favorite tunes from your smartphone or iPod. BEDROOM AREA The bedroom faces the West side of the property looking into the backyard. It is a corner unit with excellent natural lighting virtually any time of the day. The bedroom was designed in a sleek modern art style. The walls are filled with original pieces of art all in the beach style. The room has a queen size memory foam mattress on a beautiful sleek modern metal bed. With soft pillows and high-end linens, all of the bedding has been selected to offer you pure comfort while you sleep. An air mattress may be requested for an additional guest. You’ll find that there is plenty of storage in the dresser and closet on the East side of the cottage. There you’ll also find a comfortable seating area and a breakfast bar. The flat-panel TV is mounted on a full-motion bracket. So you can easily rotate the unit to watch TV from anywhere in the space. Our large flat-panel LCD HDTV has over 125 live channels as well as a numerous streaming channels on Roku. For your convenience, the channels have been organized into groups (ie: news, children’s, lifestyle, sports, etc.) BATHROOM Our bathroom was remodeled in a sleek modern design. This bathroom has a modern above-counter sink with a vanity underneath. The bathroom is fully equipped with all the bath essentials you’ll need including fluffy towels, hairdryer and more. For your convenience, we offer you basic toiletries including: shampoo, conditioner, soap and hand lotion. We keep a first aid kit in the vanity under the sink. BACK YARD & GARDENS The backyard of our property has been a labor of love for many years. Our goal has always been to create a lush tropical landscape paradise ideal for the peace and tranquility of our guests. Over the years, we have created butterfly gardens and gardens with scented flowers. The backyard has plenty of areas to relax including a hammock to sit around and enjoy the tropical weather. The property even has a fire pit. It’s great to sit around and share a bottle of wine. The entire yard is surrounded by bamboo fencing ideal for your privacy. If you’re looking to use the bar-be-que, charcoals and lighter fluid can be found in the laundry room directly to the side of the cottage on the Northside. AIRBNB ENHANCED CLEANING PROTOCOLS: We take great pride in our cleaning standards and have always prepared a house to "spotless" standards. We take every protocol necessary to ensure that our home is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We have a 3 phase process to clean and disinfect our home. Phase 1 includes turning off the central AC and airing out the house for an hour. A new AC filter is installed before the AC is turned on again. Phase 2 includes washing all linens with hot detergent and water. All surfaces are cleaned. All pots, pans, flatware, glasses, cups, mugs, etc. are washed with hot soap, water and sanitized in the dishwasher. Phase 3 includes wiping all surfaces with antibacterial. This includes all handles, lamps, drawers, light switches, remote controls, doorknobs, etc. Virtually anything that can be touched is treated and wiped with disinfectant. You have access to the Cottage and shared yard. We are available by phone, text or email. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, our home is surrounded by several vibrant municipalities: the Village of Miami Shores, Biscayne Park and North Miami. You’ll find lots to do in these diverse and historic neighborhoods, like shopping and dining in Downtown Miami Shores (just down the street on NE 2nd Avenue) where you’ll find the historic Miami Theater Center (MTC), shops, banks, restaurants and yes, Starbucks! To your North is Barry University and Downtown North Miami (NoMi on NE 125th Street). This Cultural Design District has an eclectic vibe of MidCentury and antique shops, the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA), local bistros, cafe’s and bars. And, if you like farmer’s markets, don’t miss Legion Park Farmers Market (64th & NE 7th Ave) or Miami Shores Farmers Market (94th & NE 2nd Ave). Best of all you’ll be minutes (by car) to the beach and close to just about anything South Florida has to offer! Driving NE 2nd Avenue is your main artery South to Downtown Miami Shores and Northward to 125 Street. The 125th Street Causway is your link to the beaches.
