Private room in home. Tropical house, gallery vibe, amazing location

Lushly landscaped home just off Biscayne Bay, 3 miles N of downtown, 1 blk from Morningside Park, 1.5 miles from Wynwood, 5 miles from South Bch. Plenty of free parking, very clean, safe, centrally located for exploring, 7 miles from the airport. I have bicycles available & great tips on things to do. I'm an avid boater and you're welcome to join me on my 34 foot Intrepid to cruise on Biscayne Bay and see Miami's amazing skyline from the ocean. I live w/ my dogs Luna & Chloe & GF Karalee You have your own private bedroom with your own private, en suite bathroom. Even though my home has central air conditioning, I also have a Mitsubishi Split Unit A/C unit in your room, that you will control. You can make it as cold or as mild as you prefer. My home is shaped like the letter "H", with your private room on one side of the house, and mine on the complete opposite side of the house (along with my third bedroom / office, giving us both plenty of space & privacy. Your room is near the kitchen, and you have full access to it 24/7. Your room has it's own private bathroom with a shower, and the door to your room comes with it's own lock and key. My back yard is very private and very lush court yard, with a natural gas grill that you are also welcome to use. We also have a great side patio near the kitchen that you have full access to. I am the proud father of two wonderful rescued dogs, Luna and Chloe. They will will steal your heart. Luna is so quiet, so well behaved and just so sweet, and Chloe is too, however she is nearly 9 years younger. Because of Luna and Chloe's presence I only allow food to be kept in the kitchen / refrigerator. PLEASE DO NOT leave any snacks or food in your room or out in the open in the kitchen, because they could get into things left out. The wrong snack can KILL a dog, so this is very important. I am required to notify all guests, that I have a "Nest" video doorbell camera out front and a "Nest" video camera out back in my courtyard and outside of my garage, for security. There are no cameras inside the house, only the three outside. You will have access to almost the entire house, kitchen (feel free to cook, use the refrigerator and help yourself to the Nespresso and Keurig coffee machines), living room, dining room, TV room, outdoor kitchen courtyard and the back yard courtyard with BBQ grill. Only place that is private, is my office & bedroom. I have been a host for so many years. I enjoy spending time with my guests and when our schedules permit, I like taking my guests out to see Miami through a locals eyes, or at the very least help guide you to the things that resonate with you. Some of my favorite things to do with guests (time permitting) are to visit Vizcaya, Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens, bicycle ride through the Wynwood Arts District and sometimes a day out on my boat (it's a 34 foot "Intrepid" center console). Even when I am not with you, I will provide an extensive list of options so you will have plenty of choices. What makes staying with me special is the fact I truly enjoy interacting with my guests. I am very active, I know and love my city, and can really help you explore. If you'd rather do your own thing, I can provide a wealth of information that will make your trip extremely easy and fulfilling. Airbnb is personal to me. I find the best Airbnb experiences are with hosts that actually live and manage their space, and interact with guests. Nothing better than local knowledge. My neighborhood is called Morningside. It's a gated community that is bordered by Biscayne Bay (you can see Miami Beach across the way). We have Morningside Park 1 block from my house, and Biscayne Bay is just two short blocks from my house. Morningside, the first Historic District in Miami, is covered in green thanks to the many mature trees throughout the neighborhood (I have a large Mango and Avocado tree in my own yard among many others) and is perfectly located in one of the most central points possible in all of Miami for exploring in all directions. Bus stop is just a few blocks away at Biscayne Blvd and 50th Terrace, and I have bicycles (and locks) to loan you if you'd care to use them. I have plenty of free parking if you arrive by car at my house. I am located very central. 5 miles to S Bch, 3 miles to Downtown, 5 miles to the airport. I am blocks from I-95, so heading North (towards Ft Lauderdale) or South (towards Key West) is very easy. Car, bike, bus, taxi and Uber are all great options. Your room comes with a high end Italian hair Dryer & Ceramic flat iron (I am in the professional beauty industry) and your own Apple iMac desktop computer to use to browse the internet or watch a DVD. You have your own Air Conditioning unit in your room, so you control the temperature. You can make it as cold as you want. Your choice! I have various books in the guest room covering Miami and the rest of the great state of Florida. I also have my own large guide book made up of things I find interesting locally, for your review. You would need months here to see them all! I love S Florida and all it has to offer, and I will give you tons of good ideas to consider doing and seeing while here. As mentioned before, I am an avid boater, and if I am going out while you are here, you are very welcome to join me for the day. It's a great way to see the city. If you want to go to the beach, I have beach towels, folding chairs and a cooler you can use. Below is a list of things to consider while here in S Florida: Miami to do: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, is the former villa and estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove neighborhood of, Florida. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate also includes: extensive Italian Renaissance gardens; native woodland landscape; and a historic village outbuildings compound. The landscape and architecture were influenced by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance models and designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style, with Baroque elements. Paul Chalfin was the design director. Truly very special and my favorite place to take vistors to. Holocaust Memorial on Bch (South Bch near Lincoln Road and a nice, but small botanical garden) Wynwood - is an art district with some cool galleirs, tons of awesome graffiti & great bars called "Gramps", "Rachel", "1-800 Lucky", "Bleecker & Gray", KYU", "Bakan", "Joey's" and "KYU” are just a few. Very interesting area. Checking out Wynwood Walls curated murals is a must! Near by you have Midtown, and one of my favorite live music venues, Lagniappe House. Design District - This high end shopping area is less than a mile from home. Full of high fashion stores, art galleries, restaurants and bars. Also a free museum called the ICA. Key Biscayne - great beaches and a very cool old lighthouse circa 1825 at Bill Baggs State Park. Have a drink at the “Rusty Pelican” over looking Downtown, day or night is beautiful. Rent Stand Up Paddle boards on Hobe Bch. Oleta State Park - rent kayaks & SUP and paddle the park and into the Intracoastel and hit beer can Island, mountain bikes available with all level of trails available Brickell Ave area - an area full of bars and restaurants near downtown, very popular and tons to see. Lincoln Road (on South Bch) - great place to spend some time at in South Beach. Full of people, stores, restaurants & bars. Everglades - Shark Valley is cool. Airboat rides near by as well. Also in Everglades National Park is the HM-69 Nike Hercules missle site left over from the Cold War days. I have so many more options for you in the Evergaldes, so just ask if you are interested in visiting the area. The Barnacle House - Coconut Grove. The oldest house in. Coconut Grove is a nice neighborhood, on the water with cafe's and shops too. Fairchild Tropical Gardens - huge botanical garden, very nice way to spend half a day. Dec 6 Dale Chihuly glass exhibit starts. Amazing! Great Butterfly exhibit year round there too. Deering Estate in South (Cutler Bay south of). Historic area with nice park and great old home. Redlands - area south of. Farms mostly, but there is a “Fruit & Spice Park” thats interesting. 24801 SW 187 ave in Homestead (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (URL HIDDEN) Coral Gables - see the Venitian Pool and the Biltmore Hotel, both built in the early to mid 1900’s and very beautiful Key Largo to do: John Pennekamp is a great State Park with tons of reefs. You can see them in a glass bottom boat, snorkel or scuba dive them. The Fish House - great fresh seafood Jimmy Johnson’s Big Chill - pool bar and restaurant and great in door sports bar and out door tiki bar Post Card Inn - great out door pool bar and charter fishing Much more to see and do here in this area, just ask me for more info….. Islamorada to do: Cheeca Lodge is a great resort Morada Bay - fun bar and Resturant on the bay, killer spot Pierres - higher end Resturant, great food. Lazy Days - great ocean side Resturant Islamorada Brewing - Beautiful beer garden with live music. Love this place. Key West to do: Blue Heaven 729 Thomas st. (corner of Thomas & Petronia) (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (breakfest, lunch & dinner). I eat breakfest there EVERY morning I am in Key West. It's so damn charming and funky. You MUST go there at some point. It's an old house, has chickens running around. I LOVE this place, and the food is great. Louie's Back Yard - really nice for dinner, has great food. It's on the water. The nicest place in Key West. Reservations a must usually. Great Bar with Live Music (a real locals place) is The Green Parrot 601 Whitehead street (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Fun place. If you have the time, take the ferry (or sea plane) to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tourtugas. It's an amazing old Fort dating back into the 1800's. Historic Sea Port is great to check out. Has some good bars and it's a nice place to walk around a bit. Can also go out on a catamaran for snorkeling or a sunset booze crusie. The Schooner Bar - open air rustic bar with an open air second level that has a great view of the marina. Live music in the day time. Great place to grab a beer in the day time and at sunset. Has great view of the marina. The best restaurant at the seaport is: Alonzos and A & B Lobster House (Alonzo's is down stairs and a GREAT place to go for happy hour (4-6 I think). All appitizers are 50% off, and they have some great apps like fresh beer steamed shrimp and much more. Best Key Lime Pie (and good food) is at Pepe's. It's the oldest restaurant in Key West. It's just accross from the Historic Sea Port. Go out on a snorkeling trip via a catamaran. They have all the gear you will need. The Aquarium is small but still very cool. I always rent bikes. It's great to get around. It allows you to cover a lot of ground and not worry about parking. Places to stay: If you want a great place to stay, I normally use a company called Center Court. They manage all kinds of properties, from lg condos to cottages and even houses. There web site is easy to use and shows you what's available and has pictures and info on each property. There web site address is: (URL HIDDEN) The Pier House is a very nice hotel in a great location. Make sure you do Mallory Square about 30 mins beofre Sunset. Have all kinds of street performers there and lots of people to see them and the sunset. Cool out door bar there called Cayo Hueso too.
