Nature, Neighborhood & Wildlife The property is located in North Miami, in a wooded residential area where homes sit on generous lots of about half an acre. With trees and open space comes wildlife—raccoons are part of everyday life here. They’re harmless, curious, and easily discouraged by keeping doors and windows closed. Resident Cats Friendly cats live on the property and roam the yard. They are part of the charm—and part of daily life here. Please do not feed the cats, as some require insulin and special diets. If you are uncomfortable around cats, we kindly recommend choosing another listing. The middle duplex is not rented; it simply separates the two guest units and allows access for me and my crew to maintain the property and care for the cats. Winter Pool Heating From December 21 through March 21, the pool is heated to a comfortable 84°F for winter guests. Please note: this is a swimming pool, not a hot tub.
